DESCRIPTION:Speakers: You Zhou (Niels Bohr Institute)\n\nOne of the main c
hallenges in nuclear physics is studying the structure of the atomic nucle
us. Recently\, it has been shown that high-energy heavy-ion collisions at
RHlC and the LHC can complement low-energy experiments. Heavy-ion collisio
ns provide a snapshot of the nuclear distribution at the time of collision
s\, offering a unique and precise probe of the nuclear structure. In this
seminar\, l will present the latest studies in the initial conditions usin
g the novel multi-particle correlation technique at relativistic energies.
In addition\, l will show the paradigm shift of using the access of initi
al conditions to precisely constrain the quadrupole deformation β2 and tr
iaxial structure of $^{129}$Xe and showcase new opportunities to observe t
he α-clustering structure of $^{16}$Ο. These latest developments have va
st potential in future heavy-ion programs at the LHC. They will be a cruci
al component in spanning the bridge between the fields of low-energy nucle
ar physics at the MeV energy scale and high-energy heavy-ion physics at th
 e TeV energy scale.\n\nhttps://indico.fysik.lu.se/event/2922/
