i) ARC6 UMEÅ retreat TODO list status checkup (listing only the open ones:

• Configuring the REST interface: rename [arex/ws/emies] to [arex/ws/jobs] AND use that block to enable emies AND REST interfaces.

• implement the archivettl functionality for JURA:

  • ongoing implementation by Ievgen

• Deployment of TOP-level archery node in nordugrid.org: to be deployed by Petter. No coding required

  • Andrii to push Petter

• introduce aliases, cleanup in the CLI and/or sdk for naming submission ports. Proposal to be worked out by Andrii, Balazs, Florido. Implementation by Martin may not be there before 6.0.0b2

• Map_to_pool configurable limit (10 days). Accepted by Aleksandr. The implementation should use an extra file in the pooldirectory and not an extra parameter in arc.conf

• Arc.conf: Add blacklisting capability with denyacces: After some voting the denyaccess extra config option will be introduced.

• Arc.conf: Allowaccess and denyaccess should be multivalued

• Do something with [arex/ganglia] and gangliarc. Maiken & Dyma

• Introduce explicit failure if the mapping procedure fails in a mapping rule in the mapping block: it is because we assume one-to-one relation between mapping rules and authgroups. To be agree with Aleksandr

  • DECISION: onfailure=pass/fail mandatory

  • DECISION agreed behavior for the use case when all the mappings are failed AND onfailure=pass:  AREX user will be mapped and if AREX is root error code returned.

• Add warning in the validator for [gridftp/jobs] and [arex/ws/jobs] blocks without allow/denyaccess. David

• easy/consistent/well-documented way to obtain ARC-CE server version via SDK: (SDK extension to return ARC server version). Martin

• REST:

  • Step-by-step REST delegation guide (with curl and or python)

  • Add version and remove * from the REST url

  • response should be in xml format

      DECISION: rest changes would require major redesign therefore POSTPONED after ARC6

• Arc.conf: Add [custom:blockname]  exception to the validator. David

• Logfile structure: timestamps with timezone info: POSTPONED

• SDK/cli: remove the matchmaking against authorized user nordugrid schema objects:Mattias.

• Arc.conf: no spaces to be allowed in blocknames. David

• Add new parameter for [lrms] and the [queue:name] blocks called slurm_requirements. Andrej & Andrii

DREAM: all UMea tasks to be implemnetd by the end of this week. 

 

ii) ARC6 alpha release status:

Maiken retagged,  still no packages in the repo, waiting for Anders

 

Plan to tag alpha2 once all the Umeå tasks are resolved, sometime next week.
