== News
GSOAP was threatened to get kicked out of Debian but Mattias fixed it.
Accidental EPEL release happened because the tarbal was published, even though it was not released. The situation is unlikely to repeat, but communication will be improved. Now the release in EPEL is code-wise the same as in NG repo.
As HTCondor delayed the new release, someone should motivate ARGO team to upgrade to a pre-release of HTCondor.
ARGO tests also depend on availability of UMD repository, as it turns out.
APEL change of messaging broker: no final version of the new system is available yet, but hopefully it won't cause code changes. Issue #84 in gitlab is about this change. We will have to re-distribute the relevant bits however.
== Bugs
Only one new minor bug. There's also a new contribution related to building in Github, looks good.
== AAI trends
MyProxy in the token era appears to be problematic, some vivid discussion in WLCG is going on. OpenSSL plans for some serious changes in OpenSSL3, will be a major clean-up. Some discussion ensues on AAI trends: one could e.g. do GridFTP with tokens, or re-implement GSI without Globus, but there's no resource available for either, so everybody sticks with WebDAV + tockens because it is there.
Token support is supposed to be fully functional in October. Tokens for data staging are still not fully implemented. So far tokens can be used for job creation, and then for signing data staging proxies.
== Release
There is enough new changes for the new release. It is not entirely clear at what point a build becomes a release, but normally it is a 1:1 match.
