i) News:

Anders did some minor fixes for the nightlies (disk space was getting filled up, fixed)

Ievgen could run the datadelivery service non-root

Lars reports about his working debuging setup

Maiken reports that code refinery issue is resolved. 

 

 

ii) Discussion about data-delivery service (follow up from dev chat)

Andrej earlier posted that his site was not using the data delivery service, but multiple CEs with local transfer only:

"50 per CE or data-delivery service, 50 seems best for CE with local delivery only to get ~8-10 GB/s for large file transfer.
using delivery-service cannot reach this rate (aggregated), so I have disabled it for now. Delivery service is not fast enough. To be more concrete, delivery service can do up to 2 files/sec due to CE polling the delivery service, so if network bandwidth is 100 Gpbs, this is not sufficient to occupy configured delivery slots."

 

ACTION/TODO: define a test case to replicate Andrej's site setup regarding data transfers
