== News

WLCG wants to switch to HTTP for 3rd party transfers by May 31, 2021, now the issue is tokens, but for file transfer it probably won't be fully working for ~2 years more. A forum is created to discuss 3rd party transfers and tokens. Xrootd is not ready for 3rd party transfers and tokens.

Express release worked well, 6.10.1 seems to have no issues, so far.


== Releases

Some discussion on how to streamline release procedures and avoid Friday night frenzy. A suggestion is to do release announcement next day after tagging, between 10:00 and 16:00.

It would be nice to have a way to check whether new commits break backwards compatibility, bring new dependencies, cause performance issues, introduce new functionality, deprecated old features etc, but it is not clear how to formalise it. A separate check-list will be tried.

Unexpected releases are not expected.


== Bugs

Nothing to report; some bug-fixers are not happy with the Git workflow, so are welcomed to submit patches to Bugzilla.
